Villa Lindy is a detached villa on a private terraced site situated on the edge of Plaka village in north western Crete. It has a truly breathtaking location, with marvellous views of the Akrotiri peninsular and the azure sea of the Mediterranean beyond the olive groves, nestled against the backdrop of the White Mountains. The villa is privately owned and customers deal direct with the proprietors. This is the first full season of letting and we are delighted to offer this accommodation at special introductory rates. Plaka village square is a 3 minute walk, comprising two tavernas, bar (with wide-screen TV), cake/pottery shop and a mini-market. The village is open all the year and boasts two restaurants, including Elphis, considered one of the finest in the area. Eating out is remarkably good value. From the villa it is just 3 minutes by car to Almeritha beach or a 15 minute downhill stroll. Almeritha has a beautiful sandy beach with a blue flag accreditation for itís cleanliness and range of facilities, which is perfect for children. It is possible to walk out safely some distance before the sea is deep enough for swimming.
